This quote is only true to an extent. I can say I have never been poor, only ran out of cash temporarily! It all depends on how long that ‘temporary situation’ lasts. It may sometimes turn out to be quite long and will definitely affect the frame of your mind.
Surely, if one does go broke, one should keep a positive frame of mind and make every effort to get out of that situation as quickly as possible.
