My name is Gurmit Bal. I am just an average guy from Canada.
I am kind of a news junkie and have been doing a lot of reading of Newspapers, Magazines etc. since my teenage years. Most of the media that I used to read and the media that I now read usually have a little spot variously titled as ‘Thought of the Day’, ‘Quote of the Day’ or something similar. The author of such quotes is usually a famous person. Sometimes I agree with the author, sometimes I disagree and sometimes I just get a chuckle out of such quotes. :-)
One day (I must have been going through my creative moment, ha ha), it occurred to me that I must not be the only person who reads such quotes. There must be other people too who like to read such quotes and these quotes must be provoking some sort of reaction in their minds as well. So I thought: Why not start a forum where I can express my views and comments and people can express their opinion about these famous quotes?
And this website was born! You are welcome to read these quotes and write your comments or opinions.

I chanced upon your site..good content… actually the urge to read quotes and mull over them i guess comes from a “craving” for new (and better?) thoughts….keep it going….would definitely look up your site more often!
